A view back on the power of the Kamloops-bound train 455 of the Kelowna Pacific Railway as it passes Larkin Cross Rd on January 19, 2001.
Power of the 70-car-train were M420W 3575, 3515, 3563, 3500 and 3571.
After picking up the final cars at Larkin I went into the cab of the second unit to tape the assault of the stiff grade to O'Keefe. There at the summit I bid farewell to the accomodating crew and my brother picked me up.
The other day train 455 reached O'Keefe 90 minutes late. It was a tough time waiting that freight out in the dark cold near Corkscrew Rd and keeping the recording gear operational. But the sound recording was absolutely worth it.
