IC 42 to Volos was running 30 mins late when it reached Inoi in the very last rays of sun on January 1, 1998. DMU 624 is graced by road grime only, taggers weren't active back then.

The eastern half of Korinthos railway yard on January 2nd, 1998. What a time capsule it was.

Mitsubishi 9413 sits forlorn at the litte freight house. The little diesel and the two cars are the only modern objects, apart from that it seems that any moment a steam powered freight could pull into the yard and a 2-8-2 class 7100 would quench its thirst at the water spout.

Today the once thriving meter gauge network on the Peloponissos peninsular is a tragic waste. I am glad that I have seen at least a little glimpse of it before it was shoved over the cliffs into railway history a few years later. Only a few yard tracks filled with derelict junk is what remains here. All other tracks have been lifted. The buildings are still there, though.
