The dapper dancing piggy of the former Stephen’s Meat Products in San Jose (formerly at 105 S. Montgomery Street) has been happily hoofing it up for over half-a-century. While many lament the loss of the Stephen’s enterprise itself, demolished in 2007 to make way for a parking lot, perhaps there’s a little more spring in this piggy’s step these days. It’s taken some 60 years but Mr. Piggy has finally escaped the meat grinder.

Stephen’s Meat Products was formerly located at 105 S. Montgomery Street in San Jose. The enterprise was razed in 2007 to create a parking lot.

For the time being, at least, the Stephen's Meat Products neon sign remains... and I must tell you, it is one of the coolest signs I have ever seen. The centerpiece of the sign is a dancing pig in a bow tie. See below...
