The Panama rose, also known as the fragrant Rondeletia, is the name given to two evergreen species of small shrubs with shiny green leaves and pinkish-red flowers. The name “rose” is misleading because the flowers don’t actually look like regular roses.

Returning to the Mulu (Borneo) Cave mini-series, with the last photo, 5 shots back and showing the bat host flying out from the caves at dusk. In this photo, we have moved from Deer Cave into adjoining Lang Cave, which is like a mini-replica of Deer Cave.

Featured here, though, is the impressive Lang Cave Walkway with installed lights. From the walkway, we look to the top of the cave chamber to the yellow area. There, we can just see some stalagmites that have grown upward from the floor, and stalactites that have grown downward from the ceilings. Touching each other they have grown together, in forming much slimmer columns, as I mentioned about before.

In the next shot along the walkway to come, we move into a smaller cave chamber, which, to our delight, shows a whole lot of these columns more clearly. :-).

Following that, the next day first features a flat-bottomed boat traveling relatively fast (as a short video will show) up a jungle river to Clearwater Cave. There we will see an underground river and the adjoining Wind Cave.

This is the Ginza building of YAMAHA, a famous musical instrument manufacturer. It features a glass curtain wall with 1,435 pieces of laminated glass sandwiched between different shades of gold leaf. The glass (950mm square) is laid out in a diagonal lattice pattern and is a work of art handcrafted one by one by artisans, expressing the beauty of traditional Japanese culture.
