Anything to do with pirates and I am in! Though I had not heard this before and find it very intriguing, especially considering by the War of 1812 our Navy was outnumbered 40 to 1!
When I was a kid my mother gave me a book of true facts for Christmas and I was instantly fixated on random, useless trivia and true facts. I used to read the Trivial Pursuit cards on road trips (nerd alert), and to this day I still have a passion for the unusual and bizarre factoids.

Much to the disappointment of the tiny bears, I forgot to post some of their holiday shots! Here is how THAT conversation went:
"Mama? Where IS that photo of us bring home the Christmas tree on the camper this time?" asked Julius.
"Yes, Mama! We didn't see it on Flickr! I was standing on the gas bottle securing the tree and I though it was SUCH a good shot!" said Patch.
"We just wanted you to share it with everybody and everybear . . ." moaned Jillian. "We even braved the snow where we got the Christmas tree!"
"Oh my! I am SO sorry, guys! I am posting it now, and you did a great job with the tree! I love you!"
"It's okay, Mama. We love you, too! Now post the photo!" Giggling from three little bears ensued. :)

We took a sudden group photo today! That is Malcolm in the back (not in the middle!) with the toboggan on, then Minerva, who is new, with her lacy hat; all the way on the right is Larry. Shell is the little brown bear in the left front, and then we have another new member, Snowy. There are 3 even tinier little bears in between! SO fun to see them all having a good time!!
