Nikon Z6 ~ Sigma Art 135mm/1.8

I had just purchased the Sigma Art 135mm/1.8 len and was dying to find a few things to shoot to test drive the lens and Z6 combo. As I left one location shooting some squirrels and was heading to another location I drove past this gentleman who was on the sidewalk in a wheelchair. I turned around and got out of my car because I wanted to take a portrait shot. I approached him with a hello and explained what I was out doing with my camera and asked if I could take a couple of photos. He said sure with a low mumble and no expression. After I took a couple of quick shots I asked if I could offer to pay him for his time. His response blew me away. Expecting him to tell me how much money he wanted he replied simply by asking if I could just buy him a meal. He said he had not eaten in several days. My heart sank.
I didn't have a lot of time so I asked what he wanted to eat and I would go get it. He said a burger and fries. I made the trip and returned with the food. His expression was one of surprise that I even came back. I gave him the food and told him to enjoy the meal and have a good day. He humbly said thank you so much.
The story of my first portrait shot with the Sigma Art 135mm/1.8 that I will never forget.
