Rounding the sweeping curve at MD Middle, CN 8907 leads the daily ore train south passing through the wetlands just north of Shermansville, PA on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. This was the junction with the branch to Meadville which was abandoned in May of 1977.

An early season snowfall has blanketed parts of Northwest Pennsylvania as ore loads head south with CN 8907 leading the train past the searchlights at MD South. The train was restricted to 20 miles per hour due to striking a tree just north of Albion causing some damage to the front of the engine.
