Sometimes you get an unexpected shot. We had gone to Kilt Rock to photograph the falls, which I will admit did not interest me. From the car park though, this was going on.

On my recent trip to Skye there were two locations that I wanted to do more than any others, neither of which I have done before. Due to the imminent arrival of a number of storms we had a limited window of opportunity.
In my minds eye I saw this location flooded with golden sunrise light! oh well, but how can you be disappointed in this landscape

I had an early start to photograph "That Castle" at sunrise, It has bugged me for years that I have not been able to get an image of it that I like. On the way back to the AirBNB i saw this and just had to stop. There had been some discussion before we went on shooting the Skye Bridge and I must admit it did not excite me, so this is my best shot of it

I have not long been back from a fabulous trip to the Isle of Skye, with a group of photographers. We all met through Flickr, which I feel is the real strength of the site. We also met up with some local Flickr contacts and benefited from their local knowledge.
