Short explanation:
the front shows a city with a canon pointing to it.
The pirates arrive and will attack.
The backside shows a burning city and a sea, filled with blood.

Loosely based on the golden hind.

This is a combination of some older models: you may know the map and my pirate city. I threw together two maps, and the back of the ship and completed the ship.

As usual I didn't care much for historical accuracy, more for fancy looks :-)

Though to make it not totally out of place I took a look at existing ships and found out, that the "Golden Hind" was quite similar in terms of proportions. So I used it to determine the placement of the masts.

check out the story :-D

Hope you are not getting fed up with it yet. I wanted to show the buildings in natural light so you can see more building details.

I also added a new base; using a new base technique - again :-D
It's leaves underneath to create a curved surface. Didn't work that well...

I talked to my buddy Emil Lidé about that idea and he came up with something quite better :-D

Taking a wrong turn again...

Yes, it's a real build. Only did some basic processing like sharpness and a little colour adjustment as I had bad light today... the colours are still quite dull...

As this earthquake scene is located in Germany there has to be some beer involved :-)

I used technique pins for the cans and did some photoshoping to get the texture of a cologne beer, as I am from colgne. The rest is lego only.

The picture is not that good... I had heavy sun reflections so e.g. the door is hard to see and the broken stump doesn't blend nice with the background. But hey, it was only meant as a bonus picture. Maybe I will redo it.
