Le village qui s’articule autour du temple bouddhiste se situe à une vingtaine de kilomètres de Leh, la capitale de l’Etat.
La photo a été prise lors de la grande fête lamaïque d’été qui se tient chaque année à la fin du mois de juillet. Une grande fête religieuse qui attire les croyants de toute la vallée.
