What began as a collaborative project evolved into something completely different. Although the original series never came to fruition, I repurposed my main Tudor-style building into a diorama and adjusted up the storyline slightly. This became a very rewarding creative challenge, transforming an immersive scene into a diorama.

The Victorian Railways built a huge number of I wagons (~15,000). Construction began in 1859, when they were issued with wooden underframes; from 1888, they started to be issued with steel underframes. In the 1950s and 1960s, these steel underframes were repurposed as many other classes of freight wagons, and as Rail Tractors (RTs).

The internal supports are relatively unobtrusive, so these can be run with or without a load.
