Overhoeks, a part of North Amsterdam which is across the canal from Central Amsterdam

A modern, largely residential area, Overhoeks is known for the A’DAM Lookout, an observation deck at the top of a 20-story office block with a light show in the elevator, an over-the-edge swing, and a rooftop bar. A striking waterfront building houses the Eye Film Museum, with a poster collection, vintage film equipment, and movie screenings. The grassy IJ promenade has views across the water to the city center.
