While researching for my planned winter snowshoe tour, this stunning scenery caught my attention. Here, we see from left to right: Gaishorn, Rohnenspitze, Ponten, Bschießer, and Kühgundkopf in the Allgäu Alps. Even during the planning phase, I wanted to keep this view in mind as I worked my way toward my actual goal.
On the day of the tour, I had already climbed several hundred meters in complete darkness when dawn began to break. It was the perfect moment to take a break and pursue my first photographic idea of the morning. The soft light illuminating the snow-covered peaks was like a dream come true. At that moment, I thought to myself: no matter what the rest of the day might bring, this sight alone was worth every effort.
