*Geislergruppe vor Einbruch der Dunkelheit*

Last picture on one of several evenings on the balcony of our holiday apartment in Funes Valley... a glass of wine, camera on the tripod and every now and then a picture, until nothing more works...here is a photo with an exposure time of 5 minutes...you could hardly see anything with the naked eye.

Letztes Bild an einem von mehreren Abenden auf dem Balkon unserer Ferienwohnung im Villnößtal...ein Glas Wein, Kamera auf dem Stativ und ab und zu ein Bild, bis nichts mehr geht...hier ein Foto mit 5 Minuten Belichtungszeit...mit dem bloßen Auge konnte man kaum noch etwas erkennen.

Immer wieder gerne fahre ich die paar Kilometer von meinem Zuhause ins Eiterbachtal. Die Straße endet hier. Eine 15-minütiger Spaziergang durch ein Naturschutzgebiet führt einen an einen Ort, ich bin keine Esoteriker, aber auf einen Ort die Bezeichnung "Kraftort"passt, dann auf diesen: Der Lichtenklinger Hof war einst landwirtschaftliches Anwesen mit einer großen Kapelle (1387 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt). Nach der Reformation wurde die Kapelle nicht mehr genutzt und verfiel seitdem. Seit 1786 werden aber wieder Wallfahrten zu der Ruine veranstalten. Auf den Mauerresten stehen daher Kerzen, kleine Büsten, Stauen und andere Devotionalien. Ein schöner Ort und das Beste daran, man ist sehr häufig ganz alleine dort 😊.

I always enjoy driving the few kilometers from my home to the Eiterbach valley. The road ends here. A 15-minute walk through a nature reserve takes you to a place. I'm not an esoteric, but if there's a place that fits the description "place of power," then it's this one: The Lichtenklinger Hof was once an agricultural property with a large chapel (first mentioned in documents in 1387). After the Reformation, the chapel was no longer used and has fallen into disrepair ever since. Since 1786, however, pilgrimages have been held to the ruins again. Candles, small busts, statues and other devotional objects stand on the remains of the wall. A beautiful place and the best thing about it is that you are very often completely alone there 😊.

This huge meander is much bigger and much more impressive than the ultra popular Horseshoe Bend. While the Horseshoe Bend has more or less an easy access, getting to Tatahatso Point is a complete different story.
Before you start to ask how to get there; A few years ago the Navajo Nation has closed all public access to Tribal land in the Tatahatso Point area, and permits will "NOT" be issued.
