The ruins of Kaltenburg Castle are located in the Lone Valley between the towns of Hürben and Burgberg in the district of Heidenheim in Baden-Württemberg / Southern Germany. From the high medieval fortification larger wall remains have survived.

A glance at the app that evening gave me little hope: “The probability of seeing auroras was just 1%.” But that didn't stop me - after all, it had already worked once this year! So I packed my equipment, put on some warm clothes and headed out into the field. What happened in the sky was hard to put into words - an indescribable experience.
I am incredibly happy to have been able to capture this natural phenomenon in my Swabian homeland for the second time now. I was particularly lucky with a gap in the clouds, which made the spectacle possible in the first place. The photo is a panorama of two times six pictures, taken with a focal length of 16 mm.

The Alpsee is a large lake in Bavaria in the district of Ostallgäu. It has a circumference of 4.70 km and belongs to the municipality of Schwangau and is located in the immediate vicinity of the royal castles of Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein directly at the foot of the Säuling mountain. When the sun goes down and the day tourists are back home, it is wonderful to enjoy the silence and nature at the lake!

One of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Swabian Alb, in my opinion. But it's also a real diva, days of heavy rainfall are not enough to wake it from its slumber, you need a good portion of snowmelt to really experience it...
