The Alpsee is a large lake in Bavaria in the district of Ostallgäu. It has a circumference of 4.70 km and belongs to the municipality of Schwangau and is located in the immediate vicinity of the royal castles of Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein directly at the foot of the Säuling mountain. When the sun goes down and the day tourists are back home, it is wonderful to enjoy the silence and nature at the lake!

A charming little castle in the light of the last rays of the day. The castle is situated on an isolated hilltop northwest of the town of Bopfingen, which fronts the eaves of the eastern Swabian Alb almost five kilometres to the north. Baldern Castle was first mentioned in documents in the 11th century.
