Maison de l'Orfèvre (House of the Goldsmith)
Built in 1578 - 1618 for the goldsmith François Roize and his wife Nicole Boulanger.
The place was so coveted on this site that he had his staircase placed in a bay, in a turret whose storeys and conical roof were covered with diamond slate and supported by two caryatids and an atlas.
