The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the See is a Roman Catholic cathedral in the Spanish city of Seville. After its completion in the early 16th century, Seville Cathedral supplanted Hagia Sophia as the largest cathedral in the world.
Seville is the capital and largest city of the Spanish autonomous community of Andalusia and the province of Seville. It is situated on the lower reaches of the River Guadalquivir, in the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula.
