The parish church of Saint Helen
Th small village and civil parish of Plungar sits in the Vale of Belvior approximately 9 miles north of the market town of Melton Mowbray.
The village church is dedicated to St Helen and dates from the 14th century, with additions in the 15th.
To the east of Plungar, in neighbouring Nottinghamshire, is the site of the disused RAF Plungar, once a base for No. 38 and No. 90 squadrons.
