The Parish Church of Saint Brannock

The large village of Braunton is situated in North Devon 5 miles west from the town of Barnstaple.
The parish church is dedicated to St Brannock and stands at the northern edge of the village.
St Brannock was an early Christian saint who is believed to have migrated from South Wales to establish a monastery at Braunton in the 6th century, legend has it that St Brannock is buried beneath the alter of the church.
The church is almost entirely 15th century, except for the chancel and tower, which are 13th century.
