The Cathedral Church of Saint Peter & Saint Wilfrid.

The small city of Ripon sits at the confluence of two tributaries of the River Ure, the Laver and Skell. It is situated on the eastern edge of the Yorkshire Dales in the county of North Yorkshire.

There has been a religious building on this site since a monastery was established in the 660's. The current building dates between the 13th and 16th centuries. Originally known as Ripon Minster it was given cathedral status in 1836 and became the mother church of the diocese of Ripon, this was incorporated into the new Diocese of Leeds in 2014.
