Kedleston Hall is a neo-classical manor house owned by the National Trust, and seat of the Curzon family, located in Kedleston, Derbyshire, approximately 4 miles north-west of Derby. The medieval village of Kedleston was moved in 1759 by Nathaniel Curzon to make way for the manor. All that remains of the original village is the 12th century All Saints Church. The current house was commissioned in 1759 by Nathaniel Curzon and designed by Robert Adam.

Hardwick Hall is an Elizabethan prodogy house located between the towns of Chesterfield and Mansfield in eastern Derbyshire.
The house was designed by the architect Robert Smythson in the Renaissance style and is one of the first building in England to be built in this style. The house was built between 1590 and 1597 for Bess of Hardwick.
The house was transferred to the care of the National Trust in 1959.

The Great Hall was used as both the servants' hall and the main entrance hall to the house. The hall is 2 stories high and brokes with medieval tradition by being placed symmetrically in the centre of the house. The hall also contains a gallery at the 1st floor level that connects the Drawing Room with the Dining Room.

Calke Abbey is a Grade I listed country house near Ticknall in Derbyshire. The site was an Augustinian priory from the 12th century until its dissolution by Henry VIII. The present building was built in the Baroque style between 1701 and 1704.
The house was owned by the Harpur family for nearly 300 years until it was passed to the National Trust in 1985 in lieu of death duties.
