Oakham Level Crossing Signal Box
The signal box at Oakham was built in 1899 by the Midland Railway and is Grade II listed, the box is famous for being the prototype for the Airfix plastic model kit.

Oakham is the county town of Rutland, the smallest county in England. The town located 25 miles west from Leicester and 23 miles east from Peterborough.
The parish church of All Saints sits in the centre of the town close to Oakham Castle. The church has a tall west tower topped by a 14th century stone spire.
