The Parish Church of Saint Peter & Saint Paul

Northleach is a small market town in the Cotswolds close to the Fosse Way roman road. The town is in the valley of the River Leach, about 10 miles northeast of Cirencester and 11 miles east-southeast of Cheltenham.
The parish church of St Peter and St Paul sits above the market place and dates mainly from the late 14th century when the church was almost completely rebuilt in the Perpendicular Gothic style. The west tower and the font are both late 14th century. The current nave and south porch were built in the first half of the 15th century.
Northleach grew prosperous during the late middle ages from the wool trade with the continent and this can be seen in the church with its rich and ornate architectural style.
