The tinted windows of Liège-Guillemins are a sight to see. Built in 2009, this was the fourth station built on this site, with a price tag of about about 312 million euros. The first station was built in 1842 and demolished in 1863, the second 1863 - 1958 and the third 1958 - 2009. The tinted windows are a temporary art exhibit by artist Daniel Buren, while the station was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.
