Train 130s has departed Fairbanks and is approaching Ester, Alaska. Parts of the mainline on the north end of the railroad are susceptible to shifting due permafrost, as seen here. The ARRC spends quite a bit of money on maintenance to help counter Mother Nature's powerful forces.
