Spent the day on the Rur Valley Railway hiking between Nideggen and Abenden. Quite a beautiful line through a one of Germany’s National Parks. The line reminded be a bit of the C&O along the New River in West Virginia. First time seeing a Stadler Regio-Shuttle RS 1 too.

Hiked stage 2 of the Wilderness Trail through Eifel National park. Totaled 22km over 6 hours. Part of the trail took us to an overlook of the Urftstaumauer dam
