One can only imagine how many railroaders have seen this sign over the years. Since the days of the Santa Fe, the locomotive power has changed and flashy rolling billboards turned to monotonous, one color cars covered by the rattle can. You can also imagine that many, many railroaders tied up at the yard office in Clovis for the last time before pulling the pin. As they got in their car, they look back in the rearview on a lifetime of change. Faces come and go, but the railroad keeps moving - evolution is - for better or worse, constant.
