The steam locomotive is MINAZ no. 1515, wheels 4-6-0, built by ALCO (Schenectady) in 08.1914, constr. no. 54844.

While it is strictly forbidden to access the still operating part of the factory, it was possible to enter the abandoned remains of the original mill.

The original name of the sugar mill "Noel Fernández" was Senado, like the local village. It's no. 520 of Cuba and has been closed in 2002. The mill had a 2'6" gauge railway system. Only ruins remained.
