The wonderful old Hydro Power Plant Arnstein in Western Styria, a storage power plant with a beautiful turbine hall and control center, which was built in 1922-1925, with an annual energy production of 49 GWh and a power of 30 MW. Three horicontal Francis-turbines, each with 10 MW and a nominal flow of 5.5 m³/s and generators with 13.000 kVA are still in operation and all is pretty in the same state since the 1920's. There is a 5.25 km long penstock leading from the storage lake "Langmann" to the power station.
