Activists urge charges be dropped against whistleblowers David McBride and Richard Boyle.

McBride, an Australian Army lawyer, blew the whistle revealing Australia's war crimes in Afghanistan. Day 1 of his court appearance on charges brought by the Australian govt.

Boyle blew the whistle on the aggressive debt collection tactics and intimidation of citizens by the Australian Tax Office, leaving most victims traumatised, some penniless, bankrupt, and homeless. He has been charged. Awaiting trial.

Supreme Court, Canberra.
