A series of images from a wander up to Easdale Tarn and onto Blea Rigg in the English Lake District on a beautifully bright but chilly day in late November 2021.

The last of this series.

Time was ticking and, at this time of year, once the sun has set, it goes dark very quickly. The original plan was to walk the length of the Blea Rigg tops and descend straight back into Grasmere, where we’d started but I really didn’t want to be negotiating this very boggy area in the dark so the hunt was on for a quick(ish) way off. I couldn’t have timed our passing of this small tarn any better, though, so the camera had to come out one last time because, well, just look at it…..

Actually, now I look at the photo again, I can see that some haloing’s crept in. Shall have to fix that.
