The Sand Cat, also known as the Sand Dune Cat, lives in the deserts of North Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia. But try finding one in the wild; the colour of its fur makes the perfect camouflage! This small cat is solitary except during the mating season and when a female has kittens. Sand Cats are threatened by habitat loss, hunting and collection for the pet trade.
