On the site of Agrigento's ruined Temple of Olympian Zeus there is a replica of telamon (or atlas), an architectural support in the form of a huge human figure. The temple (which was never completed) would have had several telamons arranged across its exterior wall. The original of this telamon is in the Agrigento museum.
This photo is taken from the bottom of the telemon's feet looking up towards his head and arms (which are bent backwards behind his head to support the beam which would have laid across them).
