The Temple of Olympian Zeus (or Olympieion) viewed from the Acropolis in Athens, Greece.
Its construction began in about 520 BC and continued through a succession of delays and rebuildings until it was finally completed and received its dedication by the Roman emperor Hadrian in AD 132.
Just beneath the temple, to the left, can be seen the Arch of Hadrian which is a monumental gateway, built at a similar time as the dedication of the temple.
