The cathedral of St James in Santiago de Compostela glows in the fading light of the setting sun.
The western facade seen here was built by Fernando Casas y Nóvoa between 1738 and 1750 and is in a late baroque or 'Churrigueresque' style. The two towers are 76m high. However the underlying church is much older, having been built from 1075 in the Romanesque style.
