The Ionic Rotunda is a folly in the grounds of Petworth House, West Sussex. It was designed by Matthew Brettingham for Charles Wyndham, the Earl of Egremont, in the late 1750s.
It has recently been restored to replace the leaded dome which had been missing since the 1950s.

The present appearance of Petworth House dates to 1688 when the previous fortified manor house was ordered to be rebuilt by Charles Seymour, the 6th Duke of Somerset (the 'Proud Duke'), who had acquired it by marriage to Elizabeth Percy, heiress of the wealthy Northumbrian Percy family. (It underwent further changes by Anthony Salvin in the 1870s.)

The whole sculpture shows Dionysus standing with his right hand on a panther which is seated at his side. It is a heavily restored sculpture based on a 4th century original.

I'm not sure if this is correct but my guess is the "HN" monogram may refer to 'Henry of Northumberland': Henry Percy, 9th Earl of Northumberland, who lived at Petworth in 1622.
The coronet seen at the top of the picture bears the attributes of the rank of Earl and so is consistent with this interpretation.
