This doorway separates the house from the garden at Snowshill Manor, a National Trust house in Gloucestershire, England.

Contrary to appearances in this photo, the statue of St George and the dragon is attached to the wall of the house, not the top of the garden wall. George's arm now chimes the bell that hangs above his head.

The inscription above the doorway reads: "Gardyn walled al with stoon / Fair a gardyn wot I nowhere noon".

These model houses, now sitting in a barn at Snowshill Manor, were part of an imaginary Cornish fishing village created by Snowshill's eccentric owner, Charles Paget Wade.

This bedroom is on the upper floor of the "Priest's House", the converted outbuilding adjacent to the main house of Snowshill Manor. Wade slept in the small enclosed bed seen in the middle-left of this picture.

The bedroom is decorated with various religious inscriptions and paraphernalia.

This armchair is where Charles Paget Wade, owner of Snowshill Manor from 1919-1951, would sit and listen to the radio. It's not in the main manor house itself but in a converted outbuilding called the Old Priest's House in the courtyard adjacent to the house.
