Looking like some kind of retro sci-fi space station, the Standard Hotel in King's Cross was created from the 2019 refurbishment of the former Camden Town Hall eastern annexe. The red capsule is a lift on the Euston Road facade of the building.
The building dates back to 1974 and was originally designed by Camden Council's Architects' Department in a brutalist style.

Built in 1974, Camden Town Hall on Euston Road added an eastern annexe in a futuristic brutalist style. These corner windows wouldn't look out of place in a science fiction space station.
In 2019 the building was refurbished to become The Standard Hotel.

Hyde Park Barracks is the base of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment in Knightsbridge, London. It is dominated by this 33-storey, 94 metre housing block. The whole barracks complex was designed in a brutalist style by Basil Spence and completed in 1970.

The Standard Hotel on London's Euston Road was created from the 2019 refurbishment of the former Camden Town Hall annexe, a concrete brutalist building which originally opened in 1974.
