What an amazing pair of units to catch in 2012. Two SD40's idle away the afternoon on O480, a work deadhead to Macmillan Yard, as they wait for northbounds CP 423 and CN M301 to clear at Boyne. GTW 5954 was originally a CN unit, and after being owned by KCS, then CN again, then a rebuild at Alsthom, it was given the GTW reporting marks and set on work trains. The trailer, GTW 5936, is the last blue and red Grand Trunk 6-axle unit left. Like I said, what a catch.

Let's just say I've been catching some pretty awesome stuff on the CN system lately. CN L596 makes it's way south at mile 23.6 of the Bala Sub with GTW 5936, IC 1030, GTW 5933 and a small train.
