Heading home on the train, I noticed a stopped set of Union Pearson Xpress DMU's. I knew these were testing on the lakeshore routes but I never actively seeked them out on the main. This time, however, I said "why not?" and hopped off at Danforth to see them pull for a practice stop.

I have word the UPX equipment is set to begin service June 6th.

Since the June 6th official opening of the Union Pearson Express, four sets of DMU's have been running non-stop between our cities main train station and our major international airport twenty hours a day, every fifteen minutes. The service seems to be gaining momentum and popularity among frequent fliers. On a warm summers eve, me and a friend decided to glass a few DMU sets at Bloor GO/UPX station before heading for home.
This location sure has changed a whole lot since I first started coming here in 2010.
Here a 'D2' set glides into Bloor heading for Union.
