For fear of being thought of as a one-trick-pony (photographing wildflowers exclusively) I thought I'd give a shot at taking some Black & White images along the coast of North Carolina.
After our recent successful botanizing trip to the Carolina coastal plain for orchids and other wildflowers, I met my flickr friend, JiMMaresca who has done some fantastic photography work at Fort Fisher. In particular, his images of the windswept live oaks along the beach inspired me to try my hand at it...
We met just after sunrise in the parking lot and proceeded to walk among these beautiful trees. There are so many photographic possibilities, that I want to go back again. Many thanks to Jim for taking the time to show me around.
Stay tuned for some Infra Red images taken in the same area in tomorrow's posting...
