View over Derwent Water to Keswick and Skiddaw

Long-time followers may recall two other contributions taken during this remarkable sequence of events one particular spring morning nearly seven years ago. This one is a slightly wider take of the scene & depicts a more established form of daylight, well after sunrise.
As is often the case, this photograph probably doesn't quite convey just how spellbinding these moments were.

Another hour in the hide today.
More birds about, probably because it was a grey overcast day.
Badger had wrecked some of m feeders last night, guess I didn't give a big enough serving of peanuts.
It did concentrate the birds to the cage feeder although as usual I was looking the wrong way when the Siskins arrived.
The Male Bullfinch claimed the holes in the cage were too small for him, typical male :)
