After the Second World War, Quedlinburg fell into the GDR. During those years, the city fell into disrepair. It was only due to a lack of money that large parts of the city were not demolished. Fortunately, after the reunification, the restoration of the medieval town has been tackled energetically, so much so that Quedlinburg has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The medieval centre of Quedlinburg has been almost completely preserved and allows visitors to experience its eventful history....
