Pacific National's diesel electric locomotives NR20 + NR57 + NR112 work a down container freight train pass the tiny railway station at Telerah, N.S.W. Australia.

This location is the very beginning of the single line track which stretches all the way to Brisbane in the State of Queensland. The distance to travel will be about 800 kilometres or 500 miles. As the single track line is very busy there are many passing loops provided to allow trains to pass when operating in opposite directions. At times fast trains travelling in the same direction will be allowed to run through or overtake slower trains that have been placed in a crossing loop. Some of these passing loops can be up to 1800 metres in length.

Pacific National is the largest operator of trains in Australia and its trains run to all mainland States. The Company also runs trains on the Island State of Tasmania.
