Sunset behind Willy's Rock, Boracay Island, the Philippines' most popular beach resort. The island is flat and small and is basically just a beach, but has the best restaurants and the most overpriced hotel rooms in the country, if not all of southeast Asia. Typical philippino grandiose hotel name:
Grand Excelsior Suites Resort and Spa (not the name of a hotel I stayed in, the name is ficticious)
When you book online you can't imagine how such a place can cost only $50 per night. The photos look amazing, how can all the online reviews be so bad???? Quick explanation below:
Excelsior.....hints of excellence, but means they have more than 5 rooms
Suites....meaning one room has a fridge, may not be functional
Resort....meaning has a non functioning pool covered with dead leaves
Spa....meaning one of the cleaning staff can give a quick massage.
But hey.... every bus station in the Philippines is a "Spa"!!

Coron Island, Philippines, sailing from the pier of the trail to Kayangan Lake (the lake will be a future upload) over the coral and into the open water. I took way too many photos from boats like this, standing at the front with the tip of the boat in the frame, so there will be many more photos like this in the coming weeks. The color of the boat is somewhat unfortunate in this case, it's almost the same as the color of the sea floor.
