In 2011, I traveled considerably more, and longer, yet I ended up visiting countries I had previously visited, save for only one country (Antigua) I visited for the first time.

2012 was different. Even though I spent less time traveling, I visited 6 countries for the first time (Philippines, Brunei, Palau, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Bhutan), as well as some repeat visits to India, Malaysia, Thailand etc. The next few days I will be uploading photos from those countries. ... that I've seen in the world so far, but also the most elusive. Mayon volcano (2,463 m (8,081 ft) The weather there was abysmal during the 3 days I spent in the area, the mountain showed itself only briefly, and under dull light conditions, hence the B&W. That is not unusual, it's the wettest place in the Philippines, and gets hit by typhoons regularly. Taken from Legazpi city waterfront, at sunset, I barely made it in time to catch the overnight bus to Manila, Bicol, Luzon island.
