A fishing boat returning home at the end of the day to Merida village, Ometepe island, Nicaragua. The matriarch helps anchor the boat while the dog takes a sip, Concepcion volcano cloud shrouded as ever in the background.

Happy belated Chinese new year, Losar, Mardi Gras, Ash Wednesday, Valentine's Day, canadian Flag Day, Vasant Panchami, and President's Day to all!

Dome and spires of the cathedral of Granada, Nicaragua in the early morning. The unsightly steel cage at the bottom right corner is likely earthquake bracing. I darkened the sky a bit more in processing.

Granada, Nicaragua, cathedral at dusk, from the edge of the main city square, Mombacho volcano struggling to shed its cloud cover in the distance, and giant Nicaraguan blue and white flag in the fore.

The light trails are from motorbikes illegally riding on a supposedly pedestrian only street.

Sunset at the summit of multi caldera Masaya Volcano, the summit caldera is inactive at the moment, the noxious fumes are rising out of a lower vent. The volcano summit is not very high, only 635 m (2,083 ft), and there is a paved road up to the active caldera, a 20 minutes walk to the summit.
