View from the Buffavento (Defier of the winds) fortress, of the northern coast of Cyprus, Kyrenia city looks like a toy from this vantage point, reached by a one lane paved road without guardrails, luckily I did not run see any other cars on the road going either way, after the end of the road there is a steep 30 minute trail to the fortress, I did see one other person, a passed out northern european tourist sprawled on the steps on the upper parts of the trail, he was gone by the time I descended, so that's why I'm saying "passed out" instead of "dead".

Paphos castle at sunset, the sun was partially veiled under clouds.I can't decide which one of these I prefer, maybe the this one, even though the sea is more distant.

Flickr decided on the second one to be the main photo, but looking at them more, I prefer this one.

Tidal variations are not a concern here, it's the Mediterranean, the waves here won't sneak up behind you and swallow you whole like the big oceans.
