Open air museum of Zaanse Schans, near Zaandam, Netherlands. Quite an overphotographed spot, I thought I'd give it a try, there's not much artificial light after dusk, I even lost a little lighting that was present in the brighter version which was taken a few minutes earlier, I'll definitely go back to the Netherlands one day, but not to this spot.

Something non-landscape for today, not my style of photo, but I stayed at one of these cubic houses, my room was the one the architect stayed during construction, it's certainly interesting, but the layout of the living space was not practical at all.

Aerial view of Dutch fields, some of them cultivating tulips, taken from a Transavia passenger flight from Zakynthos, Greece to Amsterdam. The plane was almost empty!!

I began the break with an aerial photo, and end it with one, of course the resolution is a bit fuzzy through those windows and high speed motion of the plane.

Close up tulip photos coming soon, as well as Greek islands, Alps, a bit of lightning, lots of reflections and blue hours per usual..... But only if Flickr doesn't shut me out... It took more than 30 minutes to log in today, kept getting a message telling me to use the device I use most often,which is this one, the yahoo "help" pages kept throwing me into an insane loop, please if anyone can tell me how to legally throttle a yahoo employee, I would be eternally grateful.

Sorry I haven't been uploading because of a brutal heat wave, I didn't want to turn on the heat generating computer, The weekend felt like a whole month , 100+ (40-°C+) all time record breaking temperatures. Ugh..

Anyway...

Not all parts of Rotterdam are charmless and modern, Delfshaven is a lovely little spot within the city. The surrounding area seems to be turning into a mini Afghanistan though, a bit bizarre. Will shorts and beer be banned there soon?
